Why do I have my period halfway through my birth control pack?

I’m only 2 weeks into my birth control pack,
I still have almost half the hormonal pills left and I got my period today? Now,
I am very lenient with taking it I don’t usually take it at the same time every day but I do take it. Is this normal? What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Sometimes it can happen, especially if you change brands or even go from a brand name to a generic name, that's speaking from personal experience. No it's not normal, that's the whole purpose of birth control is to regulate your period and to keep you from getting pregnant. Call your gynecologist or family doctor
