Is drinking coffee in excessively really that bad?

I have been drinking coffee in excessively after I left a cult Mormon church I went crazy on the coffee. Now my doctor told me I must cut off the coffee mat cause sleep paralysis.

Anything you do that you attach the word excessively to implies that you are doing too much more than enough or even more than desired. So at best you wasted valuable the that could have been directed else where. Finding Balance in all we do is a simple concept to understand but always a work in progress.

Yes, too much coffee is definitely NOT a good thing. Not only does it affect deep sleep patterns, but the acid can wreak havoc on your stomach. It can also cause headaches, high blood pressure, and it's a diuretic, which may not be beneficial to your situation.

Up to 3 cups per day can be beneficial (without the sugar or dairy). Stop your caffeine intake 8 hours before bed.

I use a little cream or half/half and no sugar. With cream, I use less dairy than with milk and it doesn't need the sweetener.

I love sweets too. I stopped drinking coffee for a while to get away from needing it to be so sweet. Then I switched to the half/half and never missed the sugar.

Black coffee is good for you. I drink black coffee with a green tea bag. Antioxidants. Of course, too much of anything can be bad for you. Moderation is key... even with things that are good for you.

3 cups? Nope that isn't excessive. However, you can have adverse effects from caffeine if you are allergic, as I am. It causes me to cramp up BADLY at night.

Anything in excess is bad for you, even water. Do want your doctor tells you, they're telling you this for some reason. Your kidneys are your liver or something's fucked up

I don’t think drinking coffee is that bad for you, however too much, even much earlier in the day can make falling asleep, staying asleep, and transitioning in between sleep stages an issue.
