Trending & News I actually developed fairly large glutes (along with quads, hams, and calves) with little to no external resistance just doing things like skateboarding on vert ramps and sprinting and drills training for sprints.
I think heavily weighted squats with barbells will generally be faster but you can develop those muscles quite a bit just doing box jumps and sprinting up hills and the like if you get a great deal of volume. Especially explosive motions that cause your body to fly off the ground as needed to do high jumps, long jumps, and sprints require resisting much more weight than your body weight to cause it to leap as high and as long as possible.
Aside from mass, I got to the point where I could almost dunk a basketball with a standard 10-foot rim in spite of only being 5'8. I had close to a 5-foot straight-leg high jump in my teens. If you leap all day long those muscles will thicken up while your jump height and sprint speed will increase.
I think kicking motions also help. I took kickboxing in high school and that might have contributed somewhat. Twisting kick motions like a sidekick and hook kick against a heavy bag often really work the glutes as well as quads and hams.
Thanks a lot guys. I'll try those. But does butt become hard after such exercises?
In general, you'll get a pump going if you are working those muscles.
I suggest you google this or "exercises that increase glutes".
In other words you want to primarily do exercises that focus on your ass or gluteus muscle groups.
Those are generally squats, lunges, side steps.
Secondly, elastic bands are a compactness friendly. And finally using weights will help you achieve that ass you desire.
Thanks a lot man. I'll do those.
A few exercises that target the glutes are squats, hip thrusts and single leg deadlifts (all of which can be performed with resistance bands if you don’t have weights at home). Just make sure you’re also working on surrounding muscles to ensure good stability and support throughout your body.
Thanks a lot. Do butts get hard after those?
Yes in a way, as your body fat percentage goes down, your muscles will become more prominent meaning you’ll be able to feel the muscle more rather than the layer of fat. Also like any other muscle, your glutes will go ‘hard’ when they are being contracted (basically when you tense them)
Ohh got it thanks
