do you think peple are too lenient with these things and should "try to face reality head on instead of running from it?
do you think the world is more depressing than it was 100 years ago or that today we have too much time and dwell on negative things or just have the means to deal with a problem that was always there?
i am a pretty lucky person. mostly healthy family, parents are still together, grew up in a nice city and never went to sleep hungry. i was always pretty happy and half cup full kind of guy. when i was in middle school i was bullied due to a physiologic defect. but even though i had tough days, where i would just go into my room crying into my pillow, and then my older brother would come home and we would beat each other up (mostly he beat me), i never became depressed.
once i enter adult life, i began to meet a lot of people who take medicine due to anxiety, depression or other mental or emotional difficulties. now it seems that almost all my friends take them, and im the weird one that is never phased and just keep on smiling...
i don't know if im a freak for being a happy-go-lucky kind of guy or not...
is it the same for you?
