Help with newborn?

I have no clue. So do they start off on breastmilk and then formula? I heard if not enough breastmilk can give formula instead. At what age should I introduce solids? At what age purees? And I think by 12 months introduce cow milk right? And before it formula & regular foods are ok past 9 from 10 months?

I may get some flak for this, but my wife was so wiped after delivery. She was in lots of pain and couldn't stay up and constantly breast feed. So I took up formula feeding my kids so she could rest (cuz you know, us men don't have breast milk). Both my two kids were Enfimil babies. And you know what? They're perfectly healthy and happy. And I felt engaged as their dad.

Get a thermos container and fill it with hot water and bring it with you so you can make formula on the go. Super mom status right there.

Purees? Meh- about 4 months or so. Babies like the sweeter stuff. So get sweet carrots, apples, and fruit purees. Stay away from the meat or veggie purees. Holy shit that stuff tastes like shit. If I won't eat it, my baby sure as hell wouldn't eat it, either.

Yes, 12 months for cow milk. I probably cheated and started at 10 months with my little girl. With the occasional chocolate milk just to see her smile. LOL

Have fun and enjoy those moments. Because my kids now are loud, running, jumping and talking non stop. I miss when they actually slept during the day...

Start off with Breast Milk. If you can't produce enough try getting some breast milk cookie/snack enhancers. If that doesn't work you have to go to formula. You might have to add Gerber rice grain to thicken it so the baby gets fuller off the formula

You introduce solids when they start getting teeth. Start off with soft foods like fries, chicken and pasta. Give them the Gerber foods to see what they like before feeding them regular food.

Around 12 to 13 months is when they start drinking regular milk. Add Gerber rice grain to thicken the milk. I don't think you need formular at this point.

Slowly stop giving them formula and remove it from their diet and your budget

Real regular food @13 months and up, I think some people do it a bit sooner as soon as they start getting teeth.*this is not professional advice, you should ask an pediatrician.*

Make sure to feed them a variety of the Gerber food pouches so they don't grow up picky. GL!

Ok. Yeah I work in a daycare and a baby under 13 months was eating solids too alongside formula. He turned 12 months recently.

He probably was. As long as he isn't sick it's okay. All babies develop a different paces.

And do I warm the breastmilk? How long? I want to limit use of microwave. Any tips?

Boil water and place the milk bottle in the water. Warm preferably. It doesn't have to be the perfect temp.
Never microwave the milk
No vitamins

You should ask the parents what they feed them and their schedule

so you can breastmilk and then switch, kind of depends on your journey with that as a whole. Its normally not recommended to use both at the same time simply due to the fact baby bottles are very different for a baby to learn to drink as compared to a nipple.
Its also recommended to wait at leat until 6 months before offering purress or solids (even at this age, you need very soft, more "melty" foods). At 12 months you can start giving them cows milk.
