The cdc said a year ago that 80% of Americans have immunity. There have been many studies that show masks don't work.

So how come I still see people running around Walmart with a facediaper on?

And why do I see people at 5.30 am walking the dog with a mask on? Nobody even around for miles!! Or driving their car -- alone -- with their mask on? 😷 😆😆😆😆

I would entertain conspiracy theories more if it came out of nowhere but we've done this a few times before. The 1918 flu, the American Revolution, ancient civilization snorting small pox. Even the plauge mask during the black death and then everything we learned since germ theorie.

In 2020 pandemic we didn't reinvent the wheel in any way shape or form. Closest way was the mrna vaccine that was in development since the 1980s. As the saying goes "nessesity is the mother of invention" so we double triple down the hours needed to test it. Zero short cuts on safety but we overlap testing parameters and any failure would be scraped. The only thing in danger was a fuck ton of money. That would have been burned up by how many people dying everyday. So it was a well timed investment.

It isn’t gone. My sister works in an ER and almost every patient coming in right now is COVID positive. They aren’t going on because of COVID, but they are having what seems to be minor symptoms and end up testing positive.


I also know a bunch of people personally that has it right now.


The only difference why you aren’t really hearing about it because hospitals are not being overwhelmed like they were in the prior waves, which is a good thing!

I caught Covid in the first wave. In hospital. i spent 3 months in a coma and technically "died" for four hours - cardiac and respiratory arrest, CPR to resuscitate me. Normally they quit after 20 minutes.

I lost my leg as a direct result of Covid because treatment for the virus and the bacterial infections in my foot would have killed me. So my life was prioritised.

I can't do my old job so I've retrained as a Life Coach and Trauma Counsellor. There's a lot of people who need both.

Definitely not gone. My sister in law got Covid last month, followed by my best friends brother getting it for the second time (he's a cop), and now both my parents have it. If you know the flu exists even though the majority of people don't have it year round that you see day to day, it should be easy to understand that Covid is still around even if you don't see everyone getting it as much all the time as in the beginning or it isn't being publicized as much. Just because people stop talking about something doesn't mean it just disappears. If only life worked that way! As far as masks, you do what you want. Don't wear mask, that's your business but you shouldn't be bothered with other people equally doing what they want and continuing to wear it for whatever reason. Just do you.

It's not gone. It's part of Darwinism. The virus mutates so it can survive and become more transmissible... but the tradeoff is that it becomes less deadly. The more a virus mutates, the easier it is to transmit, but the less deadly it becomes. It's trading off effectiveness (ability to kill) for continued existence (ability to survive).

The hospital I worked for at the was getting 29k to write covid on a patient’s chart. That will run one hallway for a few minutes in a hospital that size. Then they had to cancel their lifeblood, elective surgeries. The gravy train was about to stop, you can imagine how many charts were edited the day they had to cancel elective surgeries.
