Does water spoils?

My mom said I should always put water in the fridge cuz it will spoil. Like I always forgot to put water back in the fridge

Water doesn't exactly "spoil", but organisms that grow in water (*), like algae, will grow faster in warm weather. So, yes, if you have water in some type of container, it is best to keep it cool.

(*) Just an example.
It is summer here in the US midwest.
I have buckets of water for my animals.
They usually drink it rather fast, but, if not, a spotted tinge of green lines the bucket sides and bottom. That's algae. So, I have to dump whatever water is left and then clean the buckets before refilling.

water itself doesn't spoil. but whatever is suspended in it can multiply. that's specially the case with bacteria and other harmful organic stuff which if there's too much of it, will render the water poisonous. so putting it in the fridge wil slow that down a bit but not prevent it.

No; it's already billions of years old. However, depending on how it's stored, microorganisms can grow inside and contaminate it, and plastic containers can break down and mix stuff in that you really don't want to drink.
