Is it normal to have wiggly tooth with braces?

I'm afraid I may loose a tooth! I just woke up mid night with a feeling that my tooth is wiggling. Not as badly that it would come off right now but it is a bit lose and it's moving when I touch. I'm not going to sleep my cheeks pressing pillow again. So many problems with braces. I'm going to say my dentist not to tighten up my teeth so much in my next visit!

Well, I think that is your fear only. Your teeth is not loose. Actually our teeth are flexible, there will be a small movement every time we use our teeth to eat, bite and chew our food and that is not called teeth being loose but that is actually the flexibility of the teeth.

You maybe be getting the feeling of loose teeth because your teeth are now beginning to move in the direction the braces are setting your teeth to go. There will be pain also which you have to deal with. Another reason you maybe feeling your teeth to be loose is because when the braces are applying pressure, your tooth actually becomes a bit loose so that it can move in the direction it is suppose to move but then it will become stable again.

Yes braces is not an easy treatment, there will be restrictions on your diet and plus you need to be mentally strong to go through with the treatment and finish it successfully.

Well it's not really painful like before however I am still struggling with chewing food.

Yes it feels as if I move it more then it will come off. I guess that's my fear only as you said.

When is the next visit to the orthodontist bring up the issue with him. Have all your tooth come out yet or do you still have some baby teeth? Get yourself a water pic device keeping your teeth clean is very hard with braces and you could do damage by missing a spot.

It's your teeth trying to straightening themselves out. I've had braces on and off since I was a teenager and for a short time in my adult life. Don't worry sweetie it's normal but also make sure they do tighten them up tight so the wires wouldn't come lose

Hmmm that is concerning your teeth should not wiggle so much when you have braces. Definitely don't play with it though and try to be gentle with it until you go back to the dentist

i think it actually is as long as it's not toooooooo loose. They are supposed to be moving at least a bit. Yeah maybe he tightened them too much so they're moving too much at once. I'd definitely ask to be sure.
