Reading books on the toilet?

Should I bring my book into my bathroom and read while I do the deed? I often wonder if the book acquires all the little hidden nasties (germs) when I'm done and hand it back to whoever.

Well, when I was a lot younger my diet was terrible and sometimes I'd have a bit of trouble with the.. *ahem* deposit. So I'd bring a book. Even then I was a bit of a germaphobe and would put a towel on the counter. When I was ready to get up, I'd put the book on the tower, clean up, open the door and wash my hands. Then grab my book, and leave. I like clean books.

Now I'm in and out fast enough that it's usually pointless to bring a book. Fiber, people, it helps. Less white bread, more whole wheat!

When I'm at home with the wife and kid, the bathroom is the sanctuary of peace and serenity. When I'm alone, my time in the bathroom is short lived...

(as I'm typing this on my iPad, in the tub, computer humming with a movie on next to me and a drink to help forget the day.)

Sure, wipe it off with a clorox wipe. Put it down before you wipe yourself, like in a bag or on a shelf. And don't pick it up until after you wash your hands. Clean!

I get most of my reading done in the bathroom. Even at work they have papers for you in the washrooms. Why not? when you're doing the deed your not sifting through it with your hands are you?

Germy. I read an article about people who talk on their cell phones when they do the deed and how they are often the first to get sick.

Yep,you actually get relaxed and sometimes end up staying in there reading longer than it takes you to do the deed.
