Girls, when you first learned what a mammogram was, did anyone else think it was a joke?

I have just learned so much. Thanks to the skills of a medic during a routine chest check up, my mother had a full diagnostic mammogram, a biopsy, confirmed as early stage non-hereditory cancer. Had a device inserted two days ago to help guide the surgeon during the forthcoming procedure on Friday next.

Needless to say, she is terrified. So are the rest of the family.

I know the feeling. My mom had breast cancer when I was 7 years old and I remember how scared I was.

That's good! My mum has a small tumour, just 8mm in size. I hope it can be removed completely and not come back.
