What kind of work do you do?
Do you play any sports or routine physical activity?
How is your posture when standing and sitting?
How long do you sit each day?
How often do you exercise or utilize the full range of your body's motion? (Do you bend over, do you work these sore muscles often just in daily life, etc)
These questions are to pinpoint the cause. Either something you do is strenuous, your daily posture is poor and causing harm or you lack physical activity and exercise to strengthen and stretch your muscles. Stretch every day and do some form of exercise everyday and change it up each day to target different parts of the body.

There could be a number of reasons. Posture, sitting too long, lack of exercise, lifting something too heavy, muscle tightness/spasms, maybe even a combination of those. I started having back pain at that age and it was mostly due to poor posture and sitting around too much, which led to me having acute scoliosis.

At 17, you should not be having back pain. You should see an orthopedic doctor and possibly have an MRI
