What were your symptoms for COVID-19?

Good Morning or Good Night guys,

I just tested positive for COVID-19 with my home test. I'm a little shocked, thinking I was just running a cold. I'm facing some insomnia and 3 hours of sleep. Can't sleep for some reason. My symptoms are sore throat, headache, feeling heavy in the face, and a bit of coughing with a fever. I have had no appetite and my body is hot, and I thought COVID-19 would hit me worse. I've faced some bad head colds, but this doesn't feel like it much.

How did you find out you had COVID-19? Did you feel anything?

I went to New York for vacation and got it over there. I didn't feel it right away until I just got home from the vacation. I remember it started with a sore throat. Then that night I didn't sleep at all. I had these random sharp pains in my head and body. Aching in my bones, specifically my wrists which was weird. Then the next couple of days I had a runny kind of stuffy nose but I could taste and smell still. Tylenol really helped a lot. I didn't take any medicine. I took zinc and Tylenol and that was it. I stayed hydrated and tried to eat. Towards the end of my sickness which was just a cold, I lost my sense of smell. But then I remember I could smell but things smelled different. Like car exhaust smelled like nail polish to me, it was weird. I had a fever it was 101 I think. So yeah wasn't bad. I went to the doctor to make sure the covid didn't go into my lungs since I had phlegm and they said I had mild covid. They offered to give me medicine to help fight off the virus. It was a one time shot. I didn't get it because it was a steroid and I felt like I didn't need it. I hope you feel better!

Last time i had it was last year.. my symptoms are cold, head was dizzy af, high fever, my entire body was really fucking hurt even when im just laying on my bed didn't move them and still feel hurt like i just fell from the sky, feel so tired, difficult to breath aka shortness of breath like i just ran 10 loops field, lost appetite, cough.. but i still can smell and taste so well lmao

I'm not really sure. I did have a little labored breathing to start with. I chalked it up to allergies. I was having a surgery preformed that week and the covid test was just a pre-op. Standard. They told me I was positive for covid and decided to go along with the surgery. It was just ankle surgery, nothing major. But afterwards they stuck me in the ICU for 48 hrs. And put me on oxygen and a steroid. I slept for almost a week only being awaken by nurses. I had nightsweats. But since the oxygen tube was heated, I don't know it it was that or the covid. And I lost 25 lbs. In that weak (not and exaggeration) they weighed me each day. But honestly I never felt very ill. Just really, really tired.

I felt a little off in the morning. Did an ART self-test, came up with two lines. So I self-quarantined for 8 days relying on food deliveries.

My symptoms:
- The NASTIEST, most annoying sore throat I have ever had.
- Blocked nostrils. Bleugh.
- Mild headaches.
- Chills. I had to wear a running jacket to sleep with a blanket on top, and keep in mind, the ambient temperature at night here is normally 26°C or higher, aka hanging around 79°F or higher.
- For the next few days after recovery I also felt weaker than normal, and was more easily out of breath.

What I did NOT have:
- A fever.
- Loss of taste. Thank goodness.
- Diarrhea.

Not sure if insomnia is actually a symptom or you're actually stressing on it unnecessarily.

When I first had covid, I didn't have any symptom. Second time over, I had severe back ache (very common for omicron variant), head ache, high fever and cold.

My mother also had it, she had to be hospitalised because of it. She had cough, cold, loss of taste, fever, loss of appetite.

My brother had it and he had all of those but not loss of taste, but his heart was racing fast so much so that he had to consult a doctor separately for that.

Please understand that you need to keep your mental state normal and calm and eat your meals properly! I can't emphasise enough on how important it is to do this. All the best and get well soon! :D

I had the chills, felt tired, had some muscle pain on one side of my body, a cough and it took like 2 weeks for me to be able to taste food properly again.

I'm not sure if I had had a bit of a runny nose with it, as it does feel like it'd go hand in hand with it, but I feel like I didn't.

I started a little stuffy (congestion) and developed a cough unusually resistant to my typical remedies. Then i got a bad headache that lasted a few days. The headache faded first, then the stuffiness went away. The cough dried up but lasted weeks. If it weren’t for the hysteria surrounding the bug, only the worst two days of the headache would have kept me out of work.

I caught it in hospital in the first wave. Within a week I was too weak to lift my ass onto a bedpan having been walking normally before. My lungs filled with fluids as my body tried to fight the virus and in two weeks I was in ICU on a ventilator while they pumped my body full of steroids to switch my immune system off to prevent me drowning in my own body fluids.

I was in a coma for 3 months and ended up losing my leg because of the Covid weakening me too much for further treatment.

Well I never took the test but all the symptoms I had I've never had these symptoms in one setting before. I had a fever of 100° A sore throat' a headache over my right eye' no appetite at all and my body felt very weak couldn't stand or walk for long periods of time without needing to sit.

It’s all a load of shit. Take a strong vitamin c and d supplements, not that sugary bullshit but something really strong, and drink a crapton of water (and cocount water) and for throat, echinacea. You’ll be right as rain within a few days if not a day

Week one, I thought I had another sinus infection because I had constant headache (that was as bad as when I had a sinus infection). Week 2, I had a cough and a fever that kept going up and down every hour or 2(but no headache). All in all, not too bad.
