u +1 ywhen it is really needed, yes... I will reach to those I know I should reach with
but for me to reach that point it does take a whole lot, so we're not talking about little things... last time, it was literally a life altering situation that took quite a toll
and the truth is that I actually didn't ask... one of my best friends, who knows me very well, he showed up by himself, he just knew it was really needed23 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI deal with it myself.
I'm the person that everyone else in my life runs to for help/comfort/support. I'm the "steady one", "the rock", "the one you can always count on". So, if/when I need someone, there's nobody left to turn to.
When everyone else counts on you to be strong & steady, they can't handle it when you crumble. When they're used to getting support from you, they don't know how to give it back.
So I have to stay strong, for everyone that counts on me, or at least appear to be strong. 🤷♂️

+1 yI seem to vent more at home with the kids and my husband. I definitely have girls night out and we talk about things that are bothering us, but I don't find myself getting overly emotional about anything.

I have a small number of people I talk about such topics. They are mostly other guys because I feel it´s easier with them than with women since they have and had similar struggles in life. The hinderance with women is that I either am not on a deep level with them or because I have some feelings for them and come the wrong way if I open up deeply on an emotional level before we´re dating.
10 ReplyIt depends on what it is. Some things I have to talk to god about because it's human nature for people to judge. And some things I feel are typical emotions that aren't too hard to process. I don't have a support group of people who understand because if i tell family , they tell everybody else on the family. If i tell my one friend it will be kept a secret.

+1 yI have a mental cheat code enabled where emotional pain doesn’t really affect me. It also explains why I don’t really understand social niceties or really have the ability to emphasize or sympathize or cry about anything that happens in the world to me or otherwise. I was never diagnosed autistic but my youngest daughter is.

+1 yI don't ask, I deal with everything on my own and made the experience that when I asked for it, I just got disappointed or left alone or once even betrayed
11 ReplyNo I don't ask fir emotional support at all. I dont wanne bother people with my demons because everyone already has their own to deal with.
That's why I keep them inside suffering alone from then as I always have.
But im okay. I won't let my demons win the battle ofcourse. No mather what else I will encounter in life after all I already had... nothing can bring me down anymore 🔥10 Reply
+1 yI deal with it alone. I know the answers I'll get from others "oh wow I've never been through that" or "you will figure it out" also "things will work out" then there's my favorite I heard form many through the years "that's why I'm single"

Talking without actual help just makes me feel worse. To me it feels like you're house is burning down and someone talks about putting it out, but uses a watering can. At least if the barrel goes back to my temple, it's because I fucked up, not because I relied on people and they failed me, again.
+1 yBottle it up. If I could find a way of selling it I would
