Is it normal for new glasses?

I got glasses for the first time recently and when I put them on everything dose look more clear and I can definitely read much better but when I put them on everything seems like it's moving any time my head moves it also seems as though things will stretch or scrunch together as though I have gotten dizzy and everything kinda bulges tord me

Lenses have different focuses for different uses. For normal distance, for long distance, and for close (reading). It used to be that all glasses were made with three distinct focuses, but now they have progressive lenses. With these you do not see lines separating the different focuses as they progressively change focuse as you look through the different parts of the glasses. They are pretty good for each purpose, but it takes some getting used to. For instance, walking down stairs you will tilt your head down to see the steps, the look forward to see where you are going. With your head tilted down you are looking through one focus, but next time you just shift your view down with your head still up and you are looking through the close part and that is for reading which is closer than the stairs. It takes getting used to moving your head at the right times and for your brain to accept the strangesness and fix it in your mind.

For the most part glasses are a scam. They should be used temporarily while the root cause of your eyesight problems are discovered and reversed... but instead you wear them for life... scam. It would make sense if all attempts were exhausted and there was no other option. Then they make sense.

If you are using them at such a young age, what do you think is going to happen by the time you're my age? eyes become weaker from wearing them.

Too many people have been fooled by all of these things though so I don't expect people to realize the trick.

That usually happens when you're glasses are farsighted, meaning if your eyesight is weak from afar. The concave glass creates that effect, but you'll get used to it. Just move your head slowly every time you wear them, and move your eyes to the direction before you move your head for your eyes to adjust.

I've had glasses since the 5th grade. Yes, that's normal. BUT... if it continues for, like more than a week or two, go back to your optometrist.

Also, when you put them on, try closing your eyes, putting them on, count to three, and open your eyes.

Eye is trying to get used to it. When you move your head then adjustments occur. Give it some time but keep wearing them. Be careful driving please.

It takes some time to get used to glasses. I wouldn't worry until you've given it at least two weeks of full time wear
