Has the use of glasses decreased?

I see less glasses wearer than before. Has laser surgery and the use of contact lenses become this common?

As for me when I’m out & about it’s a hit or miss seeing people with or without glasses so I can’t say yes to your question or I can’t say no so I’ll say maybe. As for me I wear glasses & I also have contacts & I stopped wearing contacts regularly due to eye redness & eye infections as well. Thought about eye surgery however A few of my friends had it done & they had to go back a few times due to complications.

I never knew anyone who wore contact lenses until I went to college. It was mostly girls that had contacts but I noticed that not many girls wore glasses. I didn't know they were wearing contact lenses.

I'm old fashioned, I much prefer glasses. Been wearing glasses since 1999.
