If theyre different then why is happiness a goal... why can't you be sad. Happiness is a delusion that no more work needs to be done. there's ALWAYS more work.

a literal frame of mind that takes/ requires *being intentional* to move out of it, and shift to more positive and truly realistic frames of mind. It helps to be offered clarity and some simple ways to truly live life to the fullest, in order to move out of that frame of mind. Sometimes these negative frames of mind are brought on because of living conditions a person grows up in- their views of themselves and what they gather from others, and their routines.
It truly helps to get out to nice sceneries as much as possible, get moving, realize the truth about themselves and others, and understand everyone experiences loneliness but they don’t need anyone to solve their problems and every problem faced is solvable. Once they grasp the gist of this, they can handle any sort of tragedy or just false belief, really.

so one is a mood and is temporary/ occasional- can be spontaneous in occurrence;

the other is a lifestyle, and it’s a type of habit.

Happiness comes so simple that even babies have it when they’re born.

Have you seen a jobless, penniless, speechless, friendless, single baby smile? Giggle? I have, and there’s a secret to it. The root is there, but I mean you seem happy to work hard for things, and I think that’s truly great, so keep at it and I’m proud of you 💪

Sadness is a temporary thing that doesn't alter brain chemistry. It is an emotion. It is fairly easy to pull yourself out of as it's an emotion.

Depression is an ongoing mental illness caused by lack of serotonin and a chemical imbalance in the brain. It is much harder to pull yourself out of, because of the chemical imbalance. It is like curing a physical illness because it is a physical illness.

Yes. They can be linked, but they are not the same. For example, there are times when you are depressed when you don't even feel sadness. There is absence of it.
Also depression is ongoing and overpowering.
