When should I go to the doctors?

My periods have not been very consistent over the past few years. I went back on the pill a few months ago and so far they have been consistent and lasting a few days.

However I am now 8 days late and I have taken 2 pregnancy tests which are both negative. I've been under a lot of stress recently so maybe that why it is delayed but this isn't helping me!

Should I call the doctors? When should I do this? Should I wait a few more days and try to get a more expensive test like Clear Blu? I've used cheap pregnancy ones off Amaaon and they have been decent but I just want to be 110% sure!

Go to the doctor if you're concerned, yes. They can run additional tests on the many different things that can impact menstruation. That said, when it comes to pregnancy, through the six times my wife was pregnant, every doctor and hospital we went to used the same pregnancy tests that we got at CVS, Walgreens, etc. So, if you're happy with the pregnancy test you have, the doctor isn't going to give you a better or different result until a fetus is large enough to be seen on ultrasound.

Probably wait till 2 week mark. Stress and diet and physical activity play big rolls on menstrual cycle. If you feel comfortable going earlier then go but to avoid out pocket costs I’d just wait. If you’re pregnant 8 more days wouldn’t change situation much.

Call your doctors office and ask them. They would be the only people with the correct answer.

You could take a pregnancy blood test they’re much more accurate.

Please check in to the doctor. Its over a week late which is very concerning.

Thanks for replying. I've still not had a period and have had negative tests. I've not been well so I hope thats it. I will go to the doctors if I haven't had a period by new years
