No- they're getting more expensive almost every day.

I've got people here in Florida and back home in Chicago tracking what's getting more expensive, relative to what's being produced locally, and while prices are rising pretty universally, it seems to be lowest on locally-grown starchy staples- corn, rice, wheat, and potatoes. Seriously ramping up consumption of those at a time when most people are stuck being fairly sedentary for various reasons, in the immediate aftermath of the medical establishment flushing its integrity down the toilet, is going to see a HUGE increase in diabetes and related conditions.

If you are AT ALL able to, I urge you to get some seeds and plant vegetables when you get the chance (obviously it's December now, but be prepare when the time IS good for you- assuming it isn't currently). You'll get much better nutrition from reliably having produce, and if somehow the economy IS straightened out, you'll still be saving money.
