Have you ever dealt with one pupil dilating randomly?

Over the last few months my right eye has been dilating a lot almost every night, it’s made it hard to drive and see clearly. My left eye is completely fine though. I just saw an optometrist and she said some people just have that happen.

An optometrist is not a medical doctor and it sounds lke malpractice that the optometrist even offered an opinion on this subject. He or she should have referred you to an opthalmologist, and the ophthamologist may eventually refer you to a neurologist to have this symptom evaluated.

I'd definitely have that checked out. I know from first aid that having uneven pupil dialation can be a symptom of pretty serious head trauma.

Try and see an eye specialist called an ophthalmologist. They are medical doctors. You may have to get a referral from your family doctor first.

Nah but I get dry eyes so one of my eyes would be swollen and red and yes shit be hurting. I also suffer from the occasional eye twitching!

Can one pupil be more dilated than the other? Yes, when one pupil is more dilated than the other, it is called anisocoria. This common condition occurs when both pupils react normally to light, but vary in size by more than half a millimeter. Anisocoria affects about 20% of the population.

I've noticed that if I go to the bar after getting an eye exam with my pupils dialed I seem to get lots of attention isn't that odd?

I definitely get a lot of people staring at me when my pupil dilates in public. I can only imagine what people think. Probably assume I’m on drugs.
