Help why do I have mold in my microwave? How many times a week do you clean your microwave?

I cleaned my microwave a month ago or two. There are food crumbs stuck inside the microwave all over and I have not cleaned it. In the last place I lived at for 2 years I rarely cleaned the microwave and never got mold. I’m 25 live alone & still learning when it comes to cleaning. Also I don’t have vinegar is it okay to clean it with wipe and lavender dish soap? That’s all I clean it with. I just scrub off the crumbs stuck. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong I use the microwave daily as I have no stove in my studio apartment.

Dawn dish washing detergent on a dish rag cleans everything. If you are budget conscious then it is the way to go. It does not take much at all. It is go in all areas of kitchen except those stainless steel or black top glass ovens that require specific cleaner.

I have lavender soap. I’ve been cleaning with that does that not work?

I don’t have stainless steel cleaner need buy that too for my trash can &fridge

Soap is soap when scrubbed properly. You know, you should be able to find a nice man that enjoys cleaning or is OCD. He’ll enjoy getting you straight 😊

First, when you're cooking in your microwave cover what you're cooking with paper towels. Second, if something splatters wipe it clean as soon as it turns off.
You're microwave should be cleaned after each use. It's easier to clean when you do it after each use. This is what I do with my microwave

Are you over heating and boiling food to the point where it's splattering all over inside?

One time I cooked noodles and the liquid splattered all over. And I heated pasta recently 4 minutes and was boiling sizzling. The instructions tho said 4 minutes had cook it
