Fun today: Who, or what am I, is there something fishy?

It might shock you to know that my mating habits are a mystery.

You could see me at a Sushi bar. I'm kinda special.

I hang out with a Group to go fishing, we go out usually at night, fresh or salt water all good to me. My "buddy" is chubby and often needs my help.

Seems something is fishy here...

Good luck getting Siri or a bot to answer who "I am" 😹.

The subject here is none other than the common Eel!

They cooperatively hunt with Grouper... the grouper often will wake them up out of their hole. The Eel flushes out the prey.

They are special in the Sushi restaurant because they have their own named sauce!

Shocking because some of them are electic!

I know that salmon can live in fresh or salt water.
They hunt, but adults are solitary and don't "fish" with buddies.
It's popular in sushi restaurants.
I don't think their mating habits are a mystery.
So I don't know the answer to your riddle.
