This is especially important in the winter when cold temps keep you indoors. A good example of this is my SO cycles. During cold months, he puts his bike on an indoor training to ride on.
+1 yThe seasons bring different fitness activities for me. When the weather is nice, I do some hiking and walking, and a small amount of cycling. I have a stationary spin bike in the house and often will use the stairmaster and rowing machine in the community clubhouse when weather will not cooperate with outdoor activities. I also enjoy swimming, which I do indoor and out.
mr. amazing Refuses to exercise indoors with the exception of swimming. He rides year round regardless of how cold it is or if there is snow on the ground (fat bike/xl wide tires)

Interesting. I am a warm weather girl so I bring it all inside. Running, biking (not my fave for indoors) rowing, yoga, etc.
My favourite is yoga, which I love doing in the garden when nice. Indoors works just as well. Enjoy your weekend! - +1 y
You enjoy yours as well! Yoga-I should really get back into that.
- +1 y
Yoga is my go-to exercise all year.
- +1 y
I have a feeling it would take me some time to recondition myself to practicing yoga again. It was a weekly occurrence way back in my early 20s.

They have some great YouTube channels for all levels. I recommend yoga with Adriene if you are looking to start. She is really good and loads of content.

1K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I’ve got that exact rowing machine in my home. It’s great for those in a loft too as long as your ceiling is 8ft plus as it stands straight up and is very solidly put together. Get one if that’s your route.
It’s easier to sit unit on rubber soles rather than the legs installation that is pictured. Sits well by the wall held Specialized Black bicycle.

We have a similar water rower. That is the one thing that I enjoy using as far as serious exercise equipment goes. I don't much care for indoor cycling. The "whoosh" sound of the rower is actually relaxing, despite being in a full on workout.
+1 yIt's really just not the same. I try to keep them separate so that there is some variety in my work outs. I love my mountain bike and couldn't imagine bringing it indoors and racking it just so I can ride it due to winter. However if you're not exercising at all it might be a good idea. Put that bad boy in front of your big screen and have at it.

My other half likes the indoor cycling on the trainer. He has some virtual thing where you ride with others. Looks like a computer game somewhat. Keeps him motivated so that is good.
Other than my normal yoga, which I love, the only piece of equipment I like to use is the water rower like the one pictured. - +1 y
I am all for that. Love those bikes where you can race others and have a screen where you can choose where you are at like mountains or a beach. Super cool.

+1 yI don’t actually do a ton of out door fitness but I do like to hike and bike I have tried the indoor equivalents and the closest I can come is the stair master. But even that I would much rather find a set of stairs and run up them. The rest has to be out doors.
14 Reply- +1 y
You have mastered stairs? 😐
- +1 y
Lol! Oh good heavens no. Not since collage when my room was on the fifth floor. I used to run up and down the stairs 12- 20 times a day.
Stair Master is a machine kind of like a treadmill but with stairs. My first time on one I tried to test how fast it could go and tripped. I almost broke my nose. Haha! - +1 y
Yikes, that is not good. You are supposed to IMPROVE health, not make it worse with injury. 😬
- +1 y
Lol! Is that how that is supposed to work? I always get these things backwards… haha! No that was also my first day in that gym. I had never seen one before and called it the stair thingy…
4.8K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I have one of those indoor bike trainers but I really do not like to use it. I use the bikes at the gym, I seem to get a better workout with it. I try to get to the gym 4 or 5 days a week. Since I have been back to work it has been inconsistent.
14 Reply- +1 y
He likes the indoor bike. Not so much for me. We have an indoor rowing machine I use from time to time. I like that one better.
Of course, I do not row outdoors so not really brining outdoor things inside on that one. 😬 - +1 y
I have never used one of those. If I use gym equipment, it is typically treadmill. I hear those elliptical are good for the knees though.
+1 yYes! Running! We have a treadmill in our basement. I don't get the scenery from an outdoor run, but I can at least watch TV while I'm running.

That's fun! How often do you go indoors during a week?
- +1 y
In total 5-6x. 2-3x climbing, 2-3x gym
- +1 y
That's great. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend! 🙂
I never have. I don't like mixing the two! :) I had one friend who was an avid cyclist. He dismantled their living room during the winter so the could set his bike up. His wife was not happy.

Sounds like my man. I don't mind it though. He likes to do it. He has some interactive app that he rides with other people virtually.
- +1 y
Hahaha, yeah that is too much to lose a whole room. He just puts his in a spare room in the corner. Not too bad.
849 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. No don't want to put a treadmill inside. Or I will never leave the house. But we do have weights, bars and resistance bands for indoors.
18 Reply- +1 y
We have weights and bands. I like the bands better. I don't do a lot of weight lifting as it is. Have a great weekend!
- +1 y
Do you have an exercise bike?
- +1 y
Peloton! Haha.
- +1 y
What is it like? Can you message me?
+1 yYes, we have an indoors gym in our house and surprisingly enough we all use it.
11 Reply- +1 y
We have some indoor stuff as well. He uses it a lot more than I do. I don't lift weights much. I am more into the cardio stuff. He does have a rowing machine that I like. Other than that, it is lots of yoga for this girl.
Good that the whole (expanding) family uses it.
+1 yI have a rowing machine similar to the one above. I tend to use it more during the winter as I am always in my kayak during the spring, summer and fall season.

I am glad I do not have that problem that I have to shovel. 😬

12 Reply- +1 y
Do you live somewhere that it is always warm or you go no matter the weather?
During warm months I go running outside, during winter I use my treadmill!
11 Reply- +1 y
I am the same. I like being outside if the weather allows for it. I will even do yoga outside in the garden. Just so much fresher outside.
I do a few exercises indoor but some exercises like cycling, running I prefer doing it outside in fresh air.
Besides some exercise I can't do inside like swimming.10 Reply

+1 yAre you toned?
17 Reply- +1 y
Yep, I don't do a lot of weight lifting for bulk. I might work out with resistance bands on occasion but I am big into cardio fitness and yoga, which keeps me more toned than builds bulk.
- +1 y
How long can you hold a plank? I like a girl that's toned ;)
- +1 y
I can hold lots for a good while. I have been doing yoga just about my entire life. I have very good core strength. I do like to cycle, run and other cardio. I love to swim, but that isn't the easiest to do consistently.
- +1 y
You got abs then? Wow your fit ;)
