+1 yI enjoy working out at the gym more because it has all the equipment I need there.
As long as I’m there early enough in the morning, before the sun rises, things are typically okay (less people). I never go in the evenings after work though because it’s crowded as f*ck.
I can work out at home in a pinch though — but I do prefer exercising with barbells. 🏋️00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yso I bought a bunch of commercial gym equipment, basically the ones I use most at the gym. Created my own gym and I was excited. been about 4 years and I only really used it for the first year... When I had gym membership I would actually workout because I was paying and when I would drive there there's nothing else to do but to work out, so it would get done. At home you could save money and time BUT you MUST have strong MOTIVATION and DEDICATION, otherwise the day goes by and you don't do it at all! because you know it's there and always think I'll go right now I'll go right now and it never happens. If you do go in there you do a few mins and since the option is right there you usually leave earlier than you would if you were actually at a gym.
I don't regret buying my stuff even though it was a bunch of money, but I do feel I don't get any exercise done at all.
I need to work on my motivation and dedication to it.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yUsed to go to the gym regularly but stopped back in 2019. Then did home workouts for a few months during lockdown before my depression got worse. Now I do nothing, but I hope to get back to the gym soon. I wanted to do home workouts but I find that I don’t have the discipline or motivation yet. It’s all gradual

I do both. I prefer at home a bit more because in my experience many people at the gym are posers they are just there to be seen and not actually want to work out. At the same time at home I need more motivation and discipline since I workout and chill in the same room.
