Depends on how much fat you already have around your butt naturally. I have never taken protein and I have a big butt, but I already genetically have a big butt so I just do glute exercises to tone the fat I already have around it. If you already have a lot of fat around your butt then do heavy weighted exercises. If you don’t, increase your calorie intake and do a bulk. Protein helps but not always necessary

Well, for muscle gain an average person needs about 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. If you can get that by 'normal' food it's perfectly fine. If you struggle to reach the right amount you can use protein shakes to reach the goal.
So if you weigh 64 kg, you need 64 gram of protein? Is that what it means?

protein powder will help you gain muscle. If you are doing quad sets and squats it will help you get bigger.
