How to stop throwing up after being drunk?

My husband was drinking last night, and there was one last glass or the liquor and I asked him not to drink it afraid he’d get sick but he chugged it anyway- he got pretty drunk and felt a little sick that night but didn’t throw up, however from early this morning to now he has thrown up 6 times and counting. He isn’t keeping any liquids down.

I told him to try and eat something bland or have a little broth hours ago ( just a little bit) but he didn’t do that until now because he thought he didn’t need to so we still have to see what comes from that. And I am trying to ask him to rest but he still wants to do his own thing and then wanting to play these games that get him riled up.

im not trying to be controlling, but I’m getting worried! When he was younger he had a stomach issue that he almost died from, now it’s cleared up- but doesn’t mean it can’t come back again. So, I’m just extra cautious, but he doesn’t seem to care! And isn’t really allowing himself to get better or allowing me to help him.

does anyone know what to do if someone can’t stop throwing up? I’m wondering after how long do we take him to the doctors…

Get one of those gallon jugs and tell him if he wants to be guzzling the liquor and spirits like your still in college then he has to drink an equal amount or more of water. And you can have the last laugh when he sweats at the sight of the like 12L giant bottle of industrial water. If he says no then remind him that ya probably don't have the funds to replace his liver >.>

you'll have to learn what your tolerance level is and try to not drink beyond that point. for me its usually two glasses of wine for example. beyond that i get drunk and likely throw up later.

Give him some Gatorade and there is a liquid to buy at the drug store that they give to kids, it's called Pedeolite (spelling). They make it for adults now.
Both things replenish electrolytes and prevent dehydration.

Throwing up is your body getting rid of the poisonous alcohol.

So its good he is throwing up.

Yes, but after how many throw ups is it too much? 6 times is a lot and by this time he’s saying it’s just bile coming up :/

The toxins are in the blood, it takes time for the liver to detox.

see a doctor when its still going on after a day, maybd its something else, like food poisening or virus imfection...

He needs to sleep and drink lots of water. If that doesn't help, you need to call an ambulance.

Stop consuming alcohol would be a good place to start
