Massage sandals: are they healthy?

I recently purchased a pair of massage sandals. Allegedly they rub against your acupuncture points when you walk. I tried them the past couple of days and it’s like I was subjected to medieval torture. The soles of my feet are literally on 🔥 😣

I tried them and thought they gave my feet a good rub but in the beginning they were a bit rough on my soft skin
