I dropped my glasses in a disgusting place. Your thoughts?

I had my glasses in a dress shirt pocket and I was sitting on the toilet, and in that bathroom there happens to be a urinal right next to it. The glasses came out and fell in front of it and onto peoples urine. I spent minutes scrubbing it with tons of soap and water in the sink. I don’t know what else I could do, but I was so disgusted.

Well as expensive as glasses are especially if they are a prescription you better bet I do not care where I have to retrieve them from. I would have just used an alochol prep pad. There is not other cleaning you could do.

I wear glasses and that’s always my biggest fear 😭

but hey I wouldn’t throw out perfectly good glasses. If you scrub them down with soap I’m sure they’re fine. I’d also rub them down in someone rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer

If I wore glasses I would have wrapped them in paper towels, taken them home, soaked them, and then put them in the UV sanitizer I use for my harmonicas.

I would honestly have just left it there and not touched the urine-covered glasses. Would have headed to my optometrist right then and there and ordered a new pair.

How did that happen and what did you do with yourS?

We played a gig in Erie one night with My 3 Scum and spent the night and the next day, we went to the lake for a swim. I had my rectangular granny glasses on while in the water and I waded out to the breakwater. The water was about up to my chin. At one point, I went under for a moment to swim around and my glasses fell off into the lake! I went down to the sand to try to find them but couldn't see well enough. Luckily, someone FROM here was up there, too, in a boat right beside me and I asked them if I could borrow a diving mask for a minute to find my glasses. Within a minute, I did and gave them the mask, thanked them, put the glasses back on and gradually made it out of the water.
