I’ve lost thirteen pounds! Should I keep going?

  • So my previous weight was 214lbs and now I am currently 201lbs!! I’m two pounds away from being under 200! I think ever since I became a vegetarian and cut out the meat, it works. I’m eating more greens but I’ll be honest, I’ve had cheat days and ate some junk food but still. My grandparents are proud of me and so are my siblings but most of my family are telling me to stop and I’m getting too skinny. One said, “Don’t lose anymore weight. You’re tall. You’re supposed to weigh more that short girls and you have to accept that you’re always going to be a big girl.”
Please stop! You look better after you hit puberty. You’re a woman. You’re not going to be thin like you were in middle school. Men love curves and don’t want skinny women.”

My doctor is going to be super proud of me when she sees me in July. She is very strict and the in your face doctor. She told me last time that I should aim for 180 or 185lbs since I’m large built and very tall at 6’0” and I’ll never get to my preadolescent weight again. I was at 157-165lbs during 7th grade. I was 12-13 years old and 5’10-5’11”. Then the summer before 8th grade, 13 years old I hit puberty and gained weight which is expected. Then I gained weight and I ballooned to 252lbs at grade 11. All together I lost 51lbs all together.
I want to get to 165 or 150 but my doctor said that’s impossible and because I’m developed and a woman now, I would look sickly and it’s better to aim in the 180lbs. Being a 6’0” woman people are harder on you than on a 5’4” woman. Also being an obese or overweight woman isn’t fun so why would I wanna be tall and heavy?
