A clown in this site was complaining to me about female running athlete outfits and he said why do female have to wear that shit because it looks too sexy like a bathing suit and he thought females who wear those would ask for attentions on the running track

Not a problem for me. When I ran/raced, for five years, I wore Sub-4 running shorts, and they did not leave a lot to the imagination, not like some of these, but then they don't have a penis to conceal.

As a former track and cross country runner, I see no issue with it. You get too dang hot running, that it is better to have lighter clothes.

I don't think anyone should be able to dictate what someone else can and cannot wear. If they're comfortable and feel like those outfits are the best for running, then they should feel free to wear them. Similarly, if they are not comfortable or want to cover up more, then they should feel free to do so as well.

I had the same opinion when the Olympics committee had a problem with the women's volleyball team wanting to wear something other than what is basically a bikini. The athlete should have final say on what kind of clothing they wear

Heat venting is a vital part of athletics, and air resistance, too- it just makes sense. Yes, you're going to get ogled, but unless the spectators are basilisks, being looked at doesn't hurt you.

No, serious runners need to be us unencumbered as possible. I ran in shorts that were split up the side. They were less binding on my legs. My wife thought they showed too much skin. After we got married somehow they got lost in the dryer.

I don't have any issues with that. Just so long as the important parts are covered and the outfit isn't inhibiting movement.

At the end of the day, running outfits are utilitarian ensembles.

My experience is that it is common, BUT there are exceptions. Take this example. I always wore Lycra riding clothes including Lycra shorts, when cycling, and most guys do/did. Now during YOGA, classes I wear yoga clothes including long yoga pants, since some things require your legs to be 'wrapped' when doing them and 'sweaty legs and wrapping don't go well. Other men in the class wear short etc, but not yoga pants... go figure?
