I love to play games on VR, and I recently considered games that are meant to implement exercise into virtual reality. This also addresses how torturous and forced workouts are, I've never enjoyed one second of a workout in my life.
I got a game for boxing in VR and I've been boxing in the game a lot. It may sound silly, but it really isn't at all, if you stand up and start throwing punches and side stepping, you'll see that it takes a good amount of energy to do for minutes at a time.
But throwing punches into the air isn't fun, throwing them at a character in virtual reality is great fun! I've been doing it every day for 30 minutes, I throw mostly hook punches, in my last hame, I threw over 800 power punches and I enjoy the exercise quite a bit. What do you do for exercise?
