I actually hit the plateau (yesterday) as my body wasn't responding to my training routine anymore.
So, that means to actually listen and take a long break. Because it wants to prevent harm/damage.
I am natural. And this is or was my normal day at the gym.
lucky u I guess
Yeah.
My personal/experienced trainer said that this level of fitness could literally murder the average person via cardiac arrest and internal bleeding.
I don't run anymore due to bad knees and back (thanks Army), but I can still do ruck marches. You'd be surprised how different that cardio can feel from running. May help you blow through that plateau since it's different. You should give that a shot too. My cardiologist has been super happy. 5-600+ calories an hour isn't hard to do for somebody in the shape I bet you're in (check out calculator on www.goruck.com/pages/rucking-calorie-calculator) and I bet you'd really dig the extra challenge it can provide. Last time I did a marathon I lost 7lbs that day. Most of that was water weight, sure, but still. Plus depending on where you live the community that's into it may be pretty extensive and you meet some fun people.
Way to get after it brother!
That machine must be off... your tempo was way faster than 13:38min per km if you did 6+km in 20min.
@BoopBoopBeep still, great efforr you put in. After losing a decent amount of fat and water, you begin to maintain the weight which fluctuates back and forth on the scale.
yes, that's what I was noticing on the treadmill. I had to jog steadily at a 16mph speed and had a few sprinting sessions of 24mph for 15-30 seconds.
Haha, not much fat on me to lose... not since jr high school.
That must be km/hr... Usain Bolt "only" goes 27.8mph
@BoopBoopBeep Ikr, that's mad ☠. Genetics play a major role in sports though. Not every body-type/metabolism and everything is meant for everyone.
Yeah I'm never gonna be dominating at basketball.
@BoopBoopBeep ironically, as my name says, I am doing terrible in tennis 🤣
I have tried all sorts of sports such as basketball, volleyball, swimming, football, Kickboxing/martial arts of 8-9 years.
Then moved on to bodyweight exercises like skipping/jumping rope, weighed burpees (3kg dumbbells), rope smashing.
You oughta give the rucking a shot. You'll probably really like it
