Why would someone risk their eyesight for a tattooed eyeball?

This person had her eyeballs tattooed blue, and lost her eyesight as a result. Why is a tattooed body/body part worth having if it can lead to health issues or a loss of function to a part of your body? Guys, what do you think of excessive tattoos on the body, especially if all over your erogenous parts?

Initially I was grossed out by the pictures. They're really ugly. Why in the world would anyone even want to look like that? I find it extremely unattractive. Are they a member of some sort of cult? Satanism or something like that? Well, then they must be ready for the torrеnt of torment I'm about to unleash upon them.

I have “tattooed” eyeballs.

I have bluish spots on my eyes, that look like a map.

When I went to annual visit at a doctor when I was 14 l, he told me

“You’re amazing. People pay money to have their eyes tattooed and you’ve got natural ones. You eyesight is good, there’s nothing to worry about, you must be grateful to have eyes this pretty.”

It made me feel happy.

I don't know. I'd have to see them to pass any judgement on how great it is or isn't. We know anyone different, good or bad, is open to a judgement call. I'm pretty sure that people who have port wine stain birthmarks are none too happy to be that one in a million. It is all in one's perspective.

Why not post pics of them as I'm sure a lot of us have not seen anything like them? All we ever see is "the whites of their eyes". Anything different is always of interest.

I have posted in the past, but these spots can’t be seen easily, they usually can’t be seen at all in photos, unless I take a picture looking at the certain way.

I’ll shortly post a photo, since you are curious. This photo doesn’t show all of it, but it might give you an idea.

When I look up, you can see most of it, at that point, if I add a bit rage to my eyes, I look perfect for a horror movie haha

I didn't even know that was possible. I certainly wouldn't trust anyone near my eyes with a needle. Although by the time I have cataract surgery I may not have much choice...

Cataract surgery is about 45-60 minutes to put new lens in. They require your first eye to heal before they do the 2nd eye, for safety reasons.
