Yes! I feel bad for drug addicts.

My boyfriend was born with ADHD and didn't know it until he was 50. It explained a lot to him about why he was so different and why everyone, including his family would call him names.
Well, when he became older after his diagnosis of ADHD he started taking meth for it a new years ago. I just received a text message from his brother telling me the funeral home picked up his body yesterday. He died September 8. The Medical examiner said he had a pipe at both sides of his body. Hummm?

He was really acting like a crazy man at the end. Like someone I didn't know. He kept accusing me of things and I wasn't saying or doing anything to him. Finally he asked me if he was a genius or crazy. I said crazy. But without the meth he was a brilliant man. Smart as no one could imagine.

His passion in life was astronomy, astrophysics, the stars, just the whole universe. Plus he could figure out math problems like Einstein did.

If he had had the ADHD he would still be with me, but not crazy. 😥

i feel bad for any addict. To no longer be able to decide yourself is sad.

Only in the sense that I understand addiction & how tough it is to break one. But I like to stay pretty emotionally disconnected from people with extremely harmful addictions. I view them as a lost cause for the most part. So, I won't be out here crying for anyone or trying to help people get better. I see it as an inevitability in a way. There's bound to be people who fall prey to them. I'd prefer to be a force of good & fight to make the drugs less available for people instead just feeling bad.
