Help! I don’t know what to do.
Mirena hell! Don’t know what to do.
I got my Mirena inserted on 10/18. I have been in severe pain since. I am usually fine until about noon and then it’s severe pain the rest of the day. My doctor checked it on 10/24 and everything looks good. They did an ultrasound, there are no signs of it being displaced or any cysts or polyps that could cause additional pain. I do have a tilted uterus. I am at my wits end and my doctor wants me to wait until 11/20 to see if it gets better.
Prior to Mirena I had the Nexplanon and loved it. I was on my second bar for a little over a year before I started having pretty consistent bleeding and decided to get Mirena. When they removed the Nexplanon it was extremely difficult so I’m wondering if it was inserted wrong or moved a little which caused the excessive bleeding.
I am wanting to go back to Nexplanon until I figure out what I could possibly do next. I don’t think I can keep doing this for another month or more. I can’t even think about having sex with this and I’m absolutely miserable. I’m just worried that going back to Nexplanon I will bleed heavily again and be in the same boat I was a month ago.
Side note: I only had bleeding for one day after insertion and haven’t had any since.

I had an IUD inserted years ago. It got lost in my abdomen after a few months. Then it got infected. I didn't know it was infected, but I had a fever of 104°! I went to my doctor cause I had bad pain down there and a high fever. He said I just had the flu and gave me a shot.
Well, two days later I ended up in the emergency room in screaming pain. The doctor checked me down there and said he's never seen an infection that bad. He asked if I went to my doctor for this. I said yes. I told him his name. It was the middle of the night and I saw my doctor walk in front of my bed to go talk to the E. R. doctor who chewed him out.
Long story short I had to have surgery to find and remove my IUD and I was in the hospital for a week on IV antibiotics to clear up the infection.
If you want it out, demand it. Doctors will do a ton of "wait and see" until you push. Other than that general advice, I have nothing to add and I don't know anything about the BC you're talking about.
I would be pushing for the doctor to remove it. Absolutely no way would I continue having it in with such negative side effects
