Have you ever felt misunderstood by doctors?

Yes, but fortunately only in a few occasions. I had more bad experiences with a few very bad psychologists - one of whom stopped practicing shortly after I had to submit a complaint about her.
For the most part, I document symptoms and moods for a few weeks or a month if I notice something going on and will have specific talks with my doctors about that.
This helps them avoid misunderstandings.
I've once had a doctor have to ask me questions he shouldn't have needed to, but the laws of my province required him to ask. These were about me getting sterilized as a young childfree AFAB person.
He asked me two questions: "what if your partner wants kids" and "what if you change your mind".
My answers satisfied him: "if they want kids, they're not my partner" and "if I change my mind, I'll live with it, and likely adopt a dog".
Keeping close track of my symptoms since being diagnosed with GAD has been a big part of avoiding misunderstandings.
Yes! They write untrue diagnosis ' in your chart (computer, whatever). Then other doctors read what the other doctors wrote and so I quit getting tests, and I only see one doctor.
Doctors like to tell people that they aren't sick, but it's all in your head. Then they want to give antidepressants to everyone - which don't work anymore because they are screwing with our medications in the United States. They aren't made here.
I could go on and on, but all I can say is that's why they call it a medical practice. Because they are just practicing. They don't know what the heck they are doing.
So what is going on with you?
I have been misdiagnosed by doctors before. My PCP found a hernia on my left side. He sent me to a surgeon to get it fixed. The surgeon told me I had a hernia on the right side. I kept telling this guy it was on the left side. He continued to argue with me. I decided I did not like this guy and wanted to see a different doctor. I went to see somebody else and it turned out we were both right because I had hernias on both sides.
I haven't been to one in so long. But I feel like it would be hard for a doctor to misunderstand me. I'm very specific with my language. And I prefer to use the same terms they use.

Yeah, I was in labor with my 4th child. I was in a tremendous amount of pain and I knew the baby was coming. The nurse kept telling me that I wasn't close to having the baby because I wasn't in enough pain. I told her I was in excruciating pain but due to a high pain tolerance I didn't react the same as others. She spoke to the doctor and the doctor also refused to have me taken to the birthing room. Finally in between a contraction I begged her to check my cervix. She checked and then panicked, calling out some code. Nurses came rushing in to take me to the delivery room. I was 8 centimeters dilated and she could feel my baby's head. Because they refused to believe me, I had my baby with no pain medication whatsoever because everything was rushed
I hope you feel better soon! But to answer your question; once upon a time, I did feel misunderstood. Once I spent time really studying and understanding my health, I found communicating with my doctors a lot easier. It definitely takes work to come up that learning curve though.
Not misunderstood, but I have been to a few doctors who think they know more about my body than I do, and I don't like that. Good doctors are trained to listen to the patient, then use their medical knowledge to put the two together.
Not at all. We have an agreement.

Misdiagnosed yes, misunderstood no.
I hope whatever is wrong isn't serious and you feel better soon
Why? From looking at you, no judgement, you do you, but it appears that you have self-hatred. Rough life? Doctors always misunderstand. But, you do you
Yeah, doctors are not always as smart as they act.
I think they deliberately do that because they want you to keep coming back
Yes, my therapist lol
