I trim them when they become visibly long which is usually once every few months or so. My finger nails grow very fast and need to be trimmed around 3-4 times more frequently than my toe nails but it might be because I use my hands more than I walk with my feet. It might also be due to the inferior circulation of my feet as opposed to my hands and fingers that I use a lot more.

Your toenails really don't grow that much after you clip them. So maybe once a month or every few months I clip them. Here's a fun fact: Fingernails grow back faster than your toenails do.

Slow news day, huh? The nails on my big toes grow a point on their inside edges and, when they grow a certain amount, that cuts into my toe, causes minor pain which is enough of a reminder that I need to trim my toe nails.

that is usualy due to cutting curved. i leave nails a bit extended white when cutting, not cut until part of nail looks pink. maybe then won't poke?

@strateguy632 nah, I’m in on the joke, I think. It’s wildly inconsistent, not even my attention to it, but seemingly the mail growth as well. Then my fingernails I cut weekly. Makes no sense, haha, why do toenails grow slower?🤔😝

At least once a week before the Saturday race. I trim them pretty short because at 25-50 miles a week, if they're long they'll rub through socks. If I have a midweek race over 10 miles I may check again to make sure, but rarely do I need to more than once a week.

My foot Dr. Winter, trims my toenails once every 3 months, that is all the insurance will pay for it.
