If one of my eyes is 20/20 and the other is weak, why did the eye Dr give me a prescription for both sides?

Why can’t he just give me a plain lens for my perfect eye and equal my bad eye to my good eye? Is he making my prescription too strong so eventually my good eye will continue to overpower my weak eye, causing it too get worse and worse down the road?

is this how doctors stay in business?

They are not in the business of improving eye health or sight. Once people start to realize this, only then will they start really improving. Even the eye test where you read out those letters creates bad mental habits potentially resulting in poorer eyesight. If glasses, lenses and all other tools were only used while the root causes of everything were addressed and then those tools were abandoned because the problems were solved, that would be different.

If you had a job where you were paid more money the worse something became, would you be rushing to truly help fix it

I'm not sure of you can actually get glasses with a prescription lens on just one side, perhaps look into getting a monocle?

I have One Weak Eye But Do Not Wear Glasses. I have Some for Driving and TV But Never Bother to Wear Them. Dr. Always Wants to Weaken the lenses. lol Probably to Balance the One Strong Eye With the Weak One. xxoo

It's like how they throw old people in adult diapers at the nursing homes instead of helping them maintain their independence. They get more money from you and your insurance when you develop more dependencies.

They mostly want money. Like how you see KFC Mcdonalds and Tyson Chicken donating to the American Association for Diabetes. The healthcare companies and medical supply brands just collect money from the food companies that are killing the people who eat it.

Of course, some good doctors care about you. Which you need to research the doctor and make sure he's not getting paid by big pharma or medical companies.
