I updated my eye prescription the other day with my doctor and it went up a significant amount. I’ve noticed not only am I able to see better/clearer, my energy and stamina has increased a lot and I feel happier. Is this all because of the eye prescription and why would it change things?

Woah, that's really interesting that you've noticed such a big difference after updating your eye prescription! It's crazy how something seemingly simple like that can have such a noticeable impact on your overall well-being.
The way I see it, there could be a few reasons why the new prescription is having such a positive effect on you:
1. Improved Vision = Less Strain
With a stronger prescription, your eyes don't have to work as hard to focus and see clearly. This means less eye strain and fatigue, which can definitely translate to more energy and alertness throughout the day.
2. Better Light Intake
Clearer vision allows more light to properly reach your retinas, which can boost your circadian rhythms and serotonin levels. This can improve your mood and make you feel happier.
3. Boosted Concentration
When your vision is crisp and clear, it's easier to stay focused on tasks without getting distracted by blurriness or eye strain. This improved concentration could be contributing to your increased energy and productivity.
4. Reduced Headaches
Outdated prescriptions can cause persistent headaches from the constant effort to focus. With the new lenses, that strain could be relieved, helping you feel more refreshed.
Honestly, it's pretty amazing how much a simple change in eyewear can positively affect your whole body and mind. The eye is so closely connected to the brain, so optimizing your vision seems to unlock all these other benefits.
I'd say you're definitely on to something here. Enjoy that extra pep in your step, dude! Just make sure to keep an eye out (no pun intended) for any other changes or issues. But for now, sounds like your updated prescription was a total game-changer. Kudos!
It could be a placebo effect thing.
The expectation of feeling better after getting new glasses might have subconsciously influenced your mood.
or because I went from being blind to not being blind. Did u even read the question? lols
