Those with Bpd could you tell me if this is normal behavior from people diagnosed with the disorder?

My best friend has been diagnosed with Bpd.

She always blows hot and cold with everyone. It does become draining.

I've always been there for her and made many sacrifices for her. She always seems to cut people off.

Out of the blue, she has suddenly blocked me and I have no idea why. It's really devastating. Is this normal behavior from people with Bpd?

I have BPD and yes, that’s very common. It’s a tactic used for abandonment issues where the person detaches their feelings from you by convincing themselves that they need to leave you before you leave them. I’ve done it myself, where I get in manic episodes where I just start removing people from social media then regretting it and adding them later.
If it’s easier for you, just let it be. No need to read into it because unfortunately the only way to deal with a person with BPD is for them to get help. If this person doesn’t want to get help or improve then they will never change.

It can be for some people who have BPD. Like any mental condition, there’s a spectrum. There are 9 ‘symptoms’ that come with BPD. In order to meet diagnosis criteria, you need to have at least 5 of those symptoms. Google is your friend. Go and google the 9 symptoms of BPD and gain some understanding of what your friend could be experiencing.

Yes, that's normal for someone who is in the early adult stage of BPD. That's when a lot of the symptoms initially kick in. It can be very overwhelming at the start.

It kind of sounds like a mixed episodes and paranoia.
