I’ve never broken a bone in my life.(hopefully never.) But I have pulled my thigh muscle when I was playing with a basketball as a child. I dropped to the cement, locked couldn’t move I cried. My mother and one of my cousins had to help shove me into the backseat to rest at home.
But I have been burned multiple times. I was eating pop tarts and heating them in the microwave and burnt the ell out of my lips and chin because the jam got on me (age 12). Plus I fell backwards onto the wood stove butt naked, burnt the skin off my back, butt, legs and the back of my arms. Still had to go to school and have the nurse dress them (age 10). And walked across ashes not knowing there was hot coals underneath melting my crocks to my feet when I was 8 or 9. (Thankfully none of this left scars on me.)
Don’t even get me started
Yeah. I made it all the way to 45 without ever breaking a bone. Then I broke 5 in 2 years. I felt like I went from being carved out of steel to eggshells over night. I actually argued with the doctor when she told me I broke a bone. It was in was in my foot and I started stomping on it and saying it couldn't be broke it didn't even hurt that bad.🤣 like I could bargain my way down to just a sprain.
I've been very fortunate... never broke anything. I have had a few significant muscle and cartilage pulls/damage, but they all healed by themselves... no surgery needed.

Yep! It was in the hospital. I fell and broke my right wrist when I was about 61. The doctor said I was too old to fix it. He put a cast on it for stx weeks. So I still have my broken wrist. So, remember, if you're gonna break a body part ya gotta do it while you're young. 🤨
Both wrists and countless fractures in my fingers :D
Countless? What caused all those fractures? 😳
@Adventurer23 volleyball and often landing on the floor and supporting yourself with your hands to break your fall :D
@IslaTheWitch Yikes! That caused that many fractures? That must have been excruciating!
@Adventurer23 it was in high school, who paid attention to such details? :D
it happened a few times that I returned home from school with a cast on my wrist or hand :D
Yup, I broke my toe about a month ago trying to catch a rooster I brought in the house. He jumped out of my arms, I jumped forwards to catch him. My toe slammed into the metal base of a punching bag stand mid jump. Ont he plus side, I caught the rooster. Ha ha
Then, I tried walking on it. Was hobbling alright until I stubbed it on a boot in the middle of the night. I've never dropped so fast like a sack of potatoes in my life! Just started to feel pain, then blacked out, on the floor, couldn't get up. Just crippling pain.
So, eventually made it to the doc and confirmed it was broken. Couldn't walk on it for weeks. Still not able to get around normally. That's why I've been back on GaG and so active. I'm going crazy in here.
Arm, ribs - 3 right side in a motorcycle crash, 7 left side from CPR - toe on right foot, does a below right knee amputation count?, toe left foot (consequently amputated as well)
I don't do things in a small way...
Punched a guy in the face who wouldn't leave me alone and broke the first finger on my right hand. Told the hospital that I'd tripped and fallen.
Yes, but could do nothing about it. Fell forward onto my ski pole at Big Bear and cracked a rib... Painful for months...
a couple of ribs, but i generally break other peoples bones (mainly jaw or nose)
Broken my thumb punching someone in high school. And broke a finger sparring.
No, I am too lazy to be engaged in such activities that can cause my bones to break🤣🤣
I had a hairline fracture of my left radius when i was 13 years old, and it healed without incident.
Yes a few, arm, fingers, leg, ribs. Then they sport is good for you.
I cracked the tip of my big toe two days before Christmas in 2020, which was the first time I had broken any bone.
I have broken so many I wouldn't know where to start. Most were from being run down by a car I never saw coming.
Broke a finger on a band tour and then had to play 3 shows a day for two weeks with it that way
I've never broken a bone in my life and I don't think I've ever sprained anything either
Besides my toe Nope, what can I say, my bones aren't weak 😎
Hand, collarbone, a couple ribs.
Collarbone, ribs from bike accident. Hand from punching hard object.
Alcohol was involved in both.
No but, one was fractured FOR me! I was the victim in a hit & run! Fractured my left leg and left a huge hole in me left elbow.
