How to see a gynocologist UK?

I'm 21 and have never been to see a gynocologist. Im in my first proper relationship now and I'm having trouble with being too tight, not just because I'm a virgin but there's actual physical limitations and it's really sucking for my sex life for both me and my boyfriend.

Apparently you have to get a referral from your GP? But I haven't been to a GP since I was 6 and I'm not sure who or where I'm registered with.

Questions:

Can I register with a new GP?

What do I say when I make an appointment? (do I ask about referrals? or go into detail)

In my appointment what will happen?

Any idea of waiting time for the gynocologist appointment?

book an appointment and you can go semi vague with the receptionist but give all details to the dr at your appointment. they can then either refer or offer alternatives.
