Why my dryer took a long time?

Earlier I was in laundry room and when I started the dryer it was still running after like 1 hour, it’s usually take about 30/40 min for it to finish, is it dangerous to my wear the clothes after, and is the dryer broken?

An hour isn't out of the norm for drying time. It's probably not broken. If it's taking longer than usual it might be a larger load, the spin cycle on your washer didn't extract as much water as usual, or there's a buildup of lint in the vent or lint trap.

Ok but usually the machine really stop at 40 min so I found a bit strange that it’s lasted between 1 hour n 1 hour and a half..

Dangerous to wear the cloths? That's silly, if the cloths are dry they are dry. Do the cloths smell burned? Anyhow, the dryer could potentially catch fire 🔥 if you don't clean the dryer out.

I was collecting lint from a dryer to start fires in a fire place.

No but the clothes were more warm than usual since the drying time was longer and yup they were a smell of burn

Drying too long and or hot it seems, but still not bad to wear, dare I say cloths like that need to be washed again to get rid of the smell, lol.

I'm guessing there's some kind of setting on that dryer that dries only for a certain amount of time. I haven't used one in a while myself. I guess each dryer is built differently.

Do you empty the lint catcher? That can delay drying time if it’s full.

Not emptying it can be a huge fire hazard if left for too long. You should empty it.

it causes the dryer to work less efficiently but it can also be fire hazard.
