If you left it in the washer and then put it in the dryer, would you add extra fabric softener sheets or some other scent in the dryer?
Does anyone here put a timer on their phone to remind them to switch laundry or is that just me?
I would just put them in the dryer, BUT... I researched my washing machine purchase very thoroughly, and I got a unique design that does an incredible job of wringing the water out of the clothes, so unlike most washing machines that leave a ton of water in the clothes, mine leave the clothes barely damp. As such, they're much less likely to mildew if left like this - unlike, say, my old washing machine.
If I still had my old machine, I'd have to re-wash them.
For anyone who cares, my new machine is a Whirlpool Cabrio series, which uses licensed designs from New Zealand company Fisher & Paykel. Fisher & Paykel did a clean-sheet redesign of a washing machine 25 or 30 years ago, setting out to solve the problems of existing designs that had been around barely changed since the 1950s, and their machines have nearly all of the advantages of front-loaders (low water usage, low detergent usage, no center agitator, larger load sizes) but its a top-loader with all of those advantages (you can interrupt the cycle and you can add clothes, plus no leaks or mildewed gaskets), plus it spins faster than any other design to extract nearly all of the water from your clothes, which reduces dryer time.
Nice!!
I chuck the load in the dryer, no problemo.
I can't stand the smell of any scented laundry products.
I use All Free liquid laundry detergent and used Bounce Free dryer sheets.
My wife uses the new dryer sheets in her laundry, then I use them over and over again.
Using new dryer sheets leaves a greasy feel on my clothes, which is no bueno.
My neighbor uses some godawful smelling dryer products.
I can't be outside when they're doing laundry.
I don't use an alarm to know when to switch laundry.
I don't much worry about it.
I get to it when I get to it.
We switched to liquid fabric softener in washer and ditched the sheets and it's so much better! We saved the dryer sheets for boys hockey bags - smells like a dead body.
Lol.
Yeah, I'm quite familiar with the smell of athletic equipment bags from our grown son's childhood sports activities.
He's now 26 years old and those bags have been sitting untouched for years.
I wonder what will be found growing in them after all this time.
I've never looked into seeing if unscented liquid fabric softener is available.
All I've seen is the smelly stuff, which I can't tolerate.
Cheers.
I just did that the other night. I knew I was gonna fall asleep but put clothes in the washer anyway! I rewashed them the next morning. If you put them in the dryer, they smell like mold. I learned my lesson from past experiences.
No. I put them on the spin cycle to get rid of excess water and then into the dryer. Unless you've let them sitting a few days.
Also American dryers suck
I don't know about dryers but top loading washers SUCK!!
Yes they do.

Wash again cuz the clothes can sour
I rewash it if it sat overnight. With extra detergent. I feel like there is a funk that comes of out damp clothes that have sat around for a while. And I feel like that funk will just dry onto the clothes if tossed in the dryer without rewashing.
All you need to do is put your clothes back on the rinse cycle and then put them in the dryer
Agreed.
Depends on how it smells. If there’s a mildewy, icky smell I wash it again. If not, into the dryer it goes.
Base it off of what’s in it and what it smells like. If it has an odour from sitting rewash. If it’s something for the dogs switch to the dryer because chances are it won’t stay clean long.
Re-wash it, obviously. It's the only sensible thing to do.
rewash them or they'll have a moldy smell
wash that stuff properly...
I definitely rewash it.
throw it in the dryer as is.
Rinse unless they stink, then rewash.
