I am an introvert nerd with anger issues. I have seen some body builders often indulge in fights. What if I became a angry muscular man?

+1 yLmao. Well…. best advice I could give you…if you aren’t tough without muscles, you won’t be tough WITH muscles, you’ll just look scarier. You’re a brawler or you aren’t, it’s a mentality more than a physique.
One of the baddest dudes I knew was all jacked up on steroids, he definitely could lay people out…but he was laying people out back in high school when he was 50 lbs lighter, he’s just a tough kid.
Conversely, I had another friend who only half-heartedly lifted, but something about his genetics, he would absolutely swell up. It was frustrating, I was in the gym everyday, and other than being short, this kid was dwarfing me after six weeks of lifting, huge biceps and shoulders, etc. But if I ever saw him in a fight, I’d be sprinting in to come to his rescue, he’s just not a fighter, and that’s that.
So go ahead and lift, and just remember you always still are who you were before you built the muscle👍

You bet, man👍 Definitely recommend hitting the gym, it’s great for you, and you might even find it as an avenue to blow off steam and you’ll feel less angry, haha
Asker+1 yI would definitely hit the gym this time, no more delays.

Awesome. One thing I’d tell anyone getting started. Go easy the first time. #1 I see people get discouraged by is post-workout soreness. It sucks the first couple times. I recommend doing a lightweight full-body workout, one exercise per muscle group, only 1-2 sets each of weight you can lift 12-15 times before failing.
The next day or the day after that…. it’s gonna be uncomfortable. Your legs might give out when you try to sit down, haha. But just deal with it, take a week to recover. Next week, same thing. You’ll be sore, but not as bad. The week after that, now you can get started for real. Start going 3-5 times a week if you can, and start having “days”, like “legs and shoulders day”, “chest and triceps day”, etc, maybe like 3 exercises per muscle group (ask your friends who lift for more details), shoot for 8-10 reps.
Don’t want to hit you with too much advice you never asked me for😂, but the big thing is that “breaking in” period. I just started a younger friend out with that same advice, and now he’s in the swing of things👍 Just something I dealt with myself in the early going, and even later, after layoffs from an injury. I’d catch myself not going and making excuses that I couldn’t be sore the next day for this or that dumb reason, haha. It’s all nonsense. Just break yourself in easy, it’s a little tedious if you’re raring to go, but trust me on this one👍👍
Asker+1 yAwesome! I will keep that in mind. I want to start with lightweight exercises. I'll prepare a calendar for gym. Thanks☺️

u +1 yjust stay away from steroids and any other weird ass substances
going to the gym and doing it so properly, involves a lot of routine and discipline... and it also gives you a lot of relieve with stress, energy and even could help you to balance some your system... so, it might actually be helpful with these anger issues, so just try it
gym and better eating habits, will also bring better sleep (when done right) so just try
and do not worry about the fighting, lol... chances are that if you get stupid and want to take on fights, someone will put you back in place really quick and you won't want to do that again, lol31 Reply
Asker+1 yHahaha! Thanks for the good advice! I don't want to take any steroids or substances.
I have heard some guys got heart attacks due to high dosage of steroids and other substances.
+1 yOn the contrary. Working out has helped many overcome anger issues. It gives them an outlet for some of that aggression. If you're feeling particularly angry one day, go pump some iron and let that extra adrenaline push you farther

A man who can control his calories, his sleep schedule, and push himself when he wants to quit consistently can certainly control his emotions amidst confrontation. Working out and training your body will teach you levels of discipline that most of your peers won’t have. Weak and undisciplined men are the most dangerous people in society in the same way a blunt blade is more dangerous than a sharpened one. Work out and don’t take steroids in the process. It will help you with your anger issues. I’m speaking from experience.

Asker+1 yCool! No, I would not touch steroids, etc. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yWhen you lift those weights, imagine the potent fusion of decaying vegetation and rotting wood fueling your strength. And should you find yourself in a scuffle, let the pungent whiff of skunk spray or even a hint of sewage inspire you to victory. Just remember, the key to maintaining your nerdy side is finding balance – perhaps in the delicate harmony between the earthy musk of decaying flesh and the sweet stench of overripe avocados.
But be cautious, my fellow olfactophile; while a strong physique and a keen sense of smell can be empowering, don't let your anger consume you. Instead, let it drive you to explore the world of smells and odors from sexual areas, turning your anger into a passionate pursuit of being dominated with smelly socks, maybe even leaving your socks on for weeks at a time so you can gratify yourself with them.

+1 ySelf control exists sparky. Also here is the reality angry and violent doesn't do you much good if you don't know what you are doing with it. I am a fairly quiet and laid-back guy but I know how to be violent. Knowing when and how to be violent will get you farther. Also likely the reason you are angry is because you have pent up aggression start working out and you won't.

Asker+1 yIn the past, I was a quiet and laid back guy too.
Due to financial issues my anger levels have soared. I don't have a girlfriend. Single life also sucks.
I think now Gym is the only option to vent out my anger, frustration and agression.- +1 y
Being laid-back isn't something you just have forever you strive for it. I was the opposite very angry when I was younger but after dealing with a bully realized I needed to chill.
1.3K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I would never, no matter how strong I was. Have you considered getting help with your anger issues? I was pretty angry after a neglectful childhood, then eventually realized I was angry with my emotionally distant father. That was the first step to getting past it.

That's the excuse a 15 year old makes to stay out of shape.
If you're really 30 to 35 you should know by now that life is not an anime, not only will you not gain the ability to fight you will also take a lot of work and dedication to even gain muscle12 Reply
Asker+1 yI don't have any experience about the gym. That's why I am asking this question? It's a completely different world for me.

Alright then. Fitness is a fascinating thing.
For better or worse there is a LOT of material on the internet. You have to be careful.
For starters I would recommend seeing a coach. He will introduce you to the basics get you going.
Later you'll be able to put together your own workouts based on informed research.
And don't worry, progress is very slow you won't see yourself changing until it happens
+1 yMen should be in the gym picking up heavy weights and putting them down. Period. All that other stuff is nonsense and excuses.

Asker+1 yI will hit the gym soon. No excuses!
Bruv make your body for your fitness not for indulging your self in fights. Always use your strength for defence. If you don’t have strength to fight back then are you okay to get beaten up? Think about it.

+1 yDude, work on controlling your anger, diverting it into something constructive or positive. To go nerd for a moment, just because a D&D barbarian can rage, it doesn't always mean it has to be used to hurt those in your environment.

Asker+1 yThanks:) I am on vegan diet. I don't drink and smoke.
+1 yIts a mentality, having bigger muscles doesn't make you angrier or more likely to get in a fight. Its your mentality that will do that. So dont worry about that.
But stay far away from steroids and other enchancement stuff. Its bad stuff.00 Reply
+1 yI don't think going to the gym is going the increase your anger levels.

Asker+1 yNice! I will start working on my body soon.
Exercising and building muscles does not mean that you will get into fights, going to a gym will allow you to develop social skills/help with your introvert nature, and learn to deal with your anger in a situation that is controlled, and let you burn it off by taking out on a heavy bag or a body opponent bag (BOB).

1.5K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Fighting has consequences.
You can be badly injured or killed. You can badly injure or kill someone. You can go to prison or jail. You can be sued and lose all your property and your freedom. You can lose your wife, girlfriend, other friends, and you children. You can lose your job, or be kicked out of school. And worse...Get some therapy for the anger please. Do the workouts to feel better about your body too, but stay out of fights - not worth it.
