Yes, even though you are already fit, fitness is something that you must maintain and keep working at. If you don't, you will lose it over time and become unfit. Of course, some genetics play a part, but just because someone is small (less body fat) does not mean they are fit. Also, the term fitness is based on whatever it means to you. In general, to be fit, one should be able to complete simple cardio and muscular exercises for their age. For example, being able to run a mile in under 12 minutes, able to perform 30 push-ups, able to perform 5 pull-ups, etc etc.
On the flip side, a gym is helpful for fitness, but not necessary. You can stay fit without a gym membership, for free. Go to a track and run. Do bodyweight exercises. At the end of the day, you getting a gym membership depends on your fitness goals. Think about like this, professional athletes are already-fit too, but they are constantly in the gym and exercising, why? To maintain or increase their level of fitness.
Be careful. A lot of gyms will charge a one year membership fee then every three months they change owners and the membership doesn't transfer and you end up losing 9 months worth of use you paid for. Never buy more than a month's worth of membership at a time.

@friendzoned4life My country (U. S. A.) has nothing to do with it. This is a common scam among gyms. It was all over the news about 20 years ago.

The gym is for everyone, doesn't matter if you're fit or not.

Do you have a birthday coming up? Or any other occasion where it could be given as a gift to you?
Do you have any friends whos parents have a gym membership where you could go as a guest?
Maybe join a sports team at school that could help you get the workout your are looking for.
Got to the gym never trust parents for that matter, take some protein and she will think you are taking steroids.

Lifting weight is not dangerous if done properly, can be done as early as the kid can move.
Investigate what your school has that you can use. Often students are allowed the use of gym equipment, and there may even be programs there that provide help with fitness.
Doesn't matter what anyone looks like. Being consistent working out is a healthy lifestyle and I wish more people in general would do. So yes I highly recommend to join a gym.
See if you can get a two week trial membership at the gym and try it out before she spends all that money for a gym membership you might hardly ever use.,
