Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. I recently started doing squats again. I have not done them since i had a hip replacement. I just used an empty bar but did 4 sets of 10. This was after 45 minutes on the stairclimber. Then I mowed my lawn and put down some grub killer. Afterwards I had to do some site work in my yard. My legs were screaming but I had to get it done. I felt okay until the next day. Now it hurts to walk and it hurts even more when I sit down. I have not had this happen to me in years.
No, I've never had DOMS but it sounds like you may have had it before?
I think you already know what your course of action is - yes, go to the doctor and get x-rays of the area's in question.
Since you had a hip replacement perhaps you shouldn't be so rough on yourself. Huh?
I will say a prayer for you, but please get some real medical advice.
I know it's a pain (excuse the pun) to go to the doctor and get exrays, but you have to know what is going on.
Yesterday I had to go to the Emergency Room 911 because out of no where, all my energy left my body and my blood pressure was 190/102!! Yikes!!
Basically they did all kinds of tests and gave me 4 chewable baby aspirin - I guess to thin my blood?
Please let us know what the doctor says ok Buddy?
Take care YOU 😎

I don't know but i went ham with the situps and crunches one day and did a crazy amount in only 2 mins. I felt amazing so i got up jumping around and did some dance cardio too. The next day, i was stuck in a hunched over crunch position. I couldnt stand straight for a month. The doc couldnt even help me. 😭 i felt so paralyzed
I thought that was called "being over 50". I can have amazing days and then I feel what I've done.
there's a reason michael jackson and tom petty and such started taking meds so bad... they have a schedule but their body won't do what it used to do.
just have to take the inflammation down... probably meds or rest more, start more slowly next time.
maybe it's a dietary thing...
I've never heard it called DOMS, but my whole body is sore after a day of more than the usual physical activity. Usually on a weekend doing honey-dos for my SO.
Two ibuprofen usually helps. It's also important to stay somewhat active. If I just sit and try to relax, the muscles get even tighter and more painful.

I always feel really sore the next day after pushing myself.
My condolences!
That is pretty much what most people get with over exertion. I certainly do.
I've had it several times lol
