Why do men smoke while using the toilet?

Why do men's toilets smell like cigarettes? Do they smoke while using the toilet? Does this make bowel movements smoother?

@EmmaMary No one smokes here, or 5% or less of the adult population anyway. Probably because they are so expensive here.

I wouldn't even like to hazzard a guess at the percentage here (UK) except to say that it's obviously greatly reduced over the years, for the same reason you've given.

However, the new craze (or possible addiction) is this downright ridiculous vaping habit, that seems to be gaining strength.

@EmmaMary A single vape here costs $100 and is only available with a doctor's prescription. Needless to say, you rarely see anyone smoking a vape.

OMG... Here in the UK they seem to be readily available almost everywhere you look... There's even dedicated shops/outlets selling them... Obviously I haven't a clue how much all this stuff costs, suffice to say that teenagers (18+) seem to be able to afford it... In fact there's even a shop just recently opened here in our village.
