Breast cancer symptoms?

To the women who’s had breast cancer. What were your symptoms? What the the lump like if you had any for example soft or hard movable or not etc. how long did you have it before finding out etc. just stressing myself out because my Nan had it 3x and my other Nan died from cancer and my auntie is fighting lung cancer atm. So it’s pretty common in my family.

The main signs of cancer in general are fatigue and unintentional weight loss.
With breast cancer, it's a painless lump in your breast, so just regularly check your breasts if you're concerned about breast cancer.
Unfortunately cancer is very common with 50% of us expected to get cancer, but just look out for unusual symptoms you experience and seek medical advice
There's also gene tests to see if you are at a greater risk of some cancers.

Thank you. I forgot to add I’m stressing as I have a grape sized painless lump in one breast that’s moveable since around October last year. I was stupid to not check it but now I keep getting sharp pains in the same breast and I’ve always felt fatigue the last few years I think it’s just my diet. I go to the breast clinic tomorrow to see if I need a biopsy etc. hoping it’s just fibroadenoma.

Yes it's definitely best to get it checked out to rule out cancers!
Don't be annoyed at yourself! People put off things like this because of many reasons like embarrassment or not wanting to waste doctors time.
You're doing the right thing getting it checked out! I hope the results are good

Thank you they did an ultrasound today. Firstly the woman examined me and she said she thinks it’s fibroadenoma as my age. And then they scanned it. The person who scanned it didn’t seem sure and asked what the other women who felt it said what it was. A bit worried as they seemed unsure but she said it’s basically impossible for my age to get cancer (22) even despite my Nan having it multiple times and my other family members having cancers. I was hoping they’d biopsy it but she was sure by feeling it that it’s non cancerous. And no need to remove it. But google is saying if breast cancer runs in the family and you have a fibroadenoma then to remove it :,) so I’m unsure but thank you!

Well I'm glad you got checked out.
I hope they are specialists in their field and know what they are talking about. I'm a bit surprised that by feeling it, it was enough to rule out cancer but maybe they fact it can move around makes it unlikely since cancer growths are set in place.
If you are worried you could look at getting it biopsied or removed. Maybe with your family history and all. But up to you!

Don't ask here. See an MD & get it checked asap. If it is cancer, it is much easier to treat in early stages.

Yes I forgot to add I have a lump. Hope she’s okay now. Saw how damaging it can be when my Nan went through it 3x. Cancer is nasty!
