My girlfriend needs second check. Needs ultrasound and another mammogram. Her platelets are low. She has no history of breast cancer in family.
Could it be just a lymph node infection?
Please help with advice. We're both equally upset. But reason to worry just yet. Need results of next tests.

You neglected to give us her age so that those of us with medical knowledge could speculate. I suggest you Google fibroadenoma of the breast it is very very common in women of reproductive age and it is a non cancerous lump caused by hormones.
She's 46.
Has she done a pregnancy test? My sister complained of having firm breasts (she described them as lumps when she felt them) and swollen lymph nodes.
Her tubes are tied. As i explained in question, she's had mammogram last week and they told her to come back for ultrasound and another mammogram.
Oh I see, sorry I missed that part of the question. Definitely seek out a second opinion for her in terms of breast cancer then. Way better to be overly cautious and potentially find the cancer early, than to ignore it and find out later in life.
No history of breast cancer in family. Cervical cancer yes, but she's been tested and negative.
Even without breast cancer being genetic, it can still develop. Better safe than sorry.
Most women who get breast cancer don’t have a family history.
That's what I told her. She is worried and upset. Which I'm there to support her. Always will. I tried going to her place last night and she wanted to spend time with her kids. Very understandable. Not upset about that.
Very few. Most I know have. Because of the Braca gene. Others have mastectomy before they get it.
She needs to get that check as soon as possible. I would takenthings like this seriously.
She's been checked once. That's why the call back for more tests.
But trying to stay positive. Could be just hardend milk glands.
