Girls, do you ever worry about having breast cancer?

I actually just finished posting this on another question, but yes I do. My mom beat breast cancer in her 60s which might increase my chances of getting it as well. It makes me nervous and is a reminder that I need to be screened often, which all women should be doing anyway even if it's just self examination when you're younger.

I think it she was diagnosed in her 60s, that's not a good indicator that it's hereditary. But it's still best to be screened!

I hear more and more about cancer. Brain, breasts, bladder...

My cat died because of cancer. I guess we causes that more people become sick and die because of cancer...

do i worry? No. But do i do self-checks and get a breast exam every year? Yes, my family has a history of it, im not an idiot. And when my gynecologist found what we thought might be something I went and got a mammogram because im not stupid... Im not worried because I pay attention to my body.

No because nobody else in my family has had it. I still get checked for it tho. I’m more worried about dementia later in life because my grandma had it
